The North Carolina Bar Association Paralegal Division in May honored Phyllis Hines with its 2011 Distinguished Paralegal Award. Hines was nominated by colleagues and by her coworkers at Myers, Bigel, Sibley & Sajovec in Raleigh. Hines previously served as chair of the Paralegal Division. Currently, she is a member of the NCBA’s CLE Committee and Intellectual Property Section, chair of the Paralegal Division Nominations Committee, program planner for the annual Intellectual Property Institute for Paralegals and co-founder of the Research Triangle Paralegal Association. She also belongs to the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) and the National Notary Association.

Westbrook has been a real estate paralegal with Elizabeth R. Harrison, Attorney at Law, PC, since graduating from Meredith’s Paralegal Program in 2006.
